Ali found acro in 2011 after attending a yoga class. The playfulness, connection, and safe space to test physical boundaries led her to seek out partner movement practices as a part of everyday life. She soon found partnership in dancing west coast swing, attending acro festivals and jams, and performing duo aerial. Ali believes that yoga offers a foundation of body awareness for partner acrobatics. After six years of yoga teaching experience, Ali transitioned her teaching focus from yoga to sharing both acro and aerial dance. Her partner dance background steered her class focus to include fundamentals, adagio, dance lifts, and flowing from the floor to vertical spaces with partners. Ali is now a performing aerialist and certified AcroLove teacher (2022) collaborating with artists within her community to tell stories and stretch the definition of what we see possible through movement.
